Tom Scholl, Board Chairman
Tom is a successful entrepreneur and investor with over 25 years experience in communications systems, equipment, chipsets and software. Prior to joining Novak Biddle, Tom co-founded and became chairman of Cognio, a pioneer in radio spectrum management and MIMO technology for short-range wireless applications. In 1990, Tom founded Telogy Networks, a leader in providing embedded communications software products for wireless and IP networks. In 1998, Motorola purchased Telogy's digital cellular technology and development team for over $40M, and in 1999, Texas Instruments purchased Telogy for its leadership in embedded VOIP software for over $700M. Prior to Telogy, Tom was Senior Vice President of Engineering at Hughes Network Systems, a combination of M/A-Com DCC and Linkabit. He currently sits on the boards of portfolio companies Centice, Paratek, Princeton Optronics, Sennari, Command Information and FiberZone Networks. Tom is an alumnus of Purdue University and the Executive Management program at MIT Sloan School.

Jack Biddle, Director
Jack has over 20 years experience in venture capital and high-tech management. Prior to co-founding Novak Biddle Venture Partners in 1996, Jack served as President and CEO of InterCAP, a software company serving 100 Fortune 500 clients, which was acquired by Intergraph in 1995. From 1987 to 1990, Jack rose from Senior Associate to Partner at Vanguard Atlantic, Ltd., a merchant banking group focused on M&A advisory work and control investments in software companies on the firms own account. Earlier positions include IT Industry Generalist, focusing on telecommunications technology, at the Gartner Group, and Business Development Partners, an Austin-based early stage venture capital partnership. Jack currently serves on the boards of Trusted Edge, Vision Chain, CorasWorks, Netcordia, Chorus Systems and FiberZone Networks. Past board or observer seats include SafeView, Inc. (acquired by L3 Communications), Matrics (acquired by Symbol Technologies), Giga Information Group (Nasdaq: GIGX. Lead Director), acquired by Forrester, Telogy Networks, (acquired by Texas Instruments), Tantivy (acquired by Interdigital), AnswerLogic (acquired by Primus Knowledge Systems), and Blackboard, Inc. (Nasdaq: BBBB). Jack is an alumnus of the University of Virginia.

Yuval Cohen, Director

Yuval Cohen , was formerly a General Partner in Israel Infinity Fund, an $85 million information technology fund, where he was in charge of the communications sector. Since 1995, Yuval has been responsible for numerous communications and software investments and served on the Board of Directors of several such firms. He has played an integral role in helping management teams recruit, develop strategies, and establish partnership agreements. Yuval has been involved, as an early stage investor, in several companies that have completed public offerings or M&As. Prior to this, Yuval served as Vice-President for ISAL, an investment company traded on Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. Between 1993-1997, Yuval was involved in establishing and managing two venture capital funds within the IDB Group. Yuval earned his LLB (Cum Laude) and MBA degrees from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem .

Julie Kunstler, Director
Julie Kunstler, Managing Partner of Portview Communications, has over 25 years experience in the high-tech, banking, and venture capital industries in both the U.S. and Israel. Ms. Kunstler served as Finance Manager of the multi-million dollar operation of Paychex, a US-based payroll and benefits outsourcing firm. As COO of HK Catalyst in Israel, she advised companies ranging from start-ups to large international firms. Ms. Kunstler serves or has served as Director of Intralinks, QuickSilver Technologies, Teknovus, FiberZone Networks, and Teranetics. She holds an undergraduate degree from University of Cincinnati and received an MBA from the University of Chicago.

Yosi Lahad, Director
Yosi brings over 25 years of diverse leadership experience to FiberZone. He has led companies as CEO and Chairman from the start-up/R&D phase to sales growth and M&A, and has held varied positions ranging from interdisciplinary product development to international sales and business development. Before joining FiberZone, Yosi led the turn around of Octalica, a provider of home networking products, serving as active Chairman and interim CEO until the company was acquired by Broadcom (NASDAQ: BRCM). Prior to Octalica, he served as CEO of Avantry Networks, formed by the merger of RadioTel and Witcom. Avantry successfully delivered wireless and networking products to global telecom and datacom customers and was acquired by Unity Wireless. Yosi previously served as VP of Sales and Marketing at RADLAN, a data communications company subsequently acquired by Marvell (NASDAQ: MRVL). Earlier in his career, Yosi established the China operations of Tadiran, serving as the country’s Managing Director, and held R&D positions in the Israeli Air Force and at ELBIT, where he was responsible for command, control, and communications systems. Yosi currently serves as Chairman of two start-ups and is a faculty member at the Graduate School of Business, Tel Aviv University. Yosi holds a M.Sc. in Engineering (University of Texas), an MBA (Tel Aviv University), and a B.Sc in Engineering (Technion, Haifa).
