FiberZone to Present at OFC/NFOEC 2010 - Outlines benefits of AFM within the Carrier Hotel & Data Center

Washington D.C. – March 05, 2010 – FiberZone Networks (http://www.fiberzone-networks.com) today announced that it will be presenting at the upcoming 2010 Optical Fiber Communication Conference and Exposition (OFC) and National Fiber Optic Engineers Conference (NFOEC), scheduled from March 21-25 in San Diego, California.

As a founding member of the Advanced Fiber Connectivity and Switching (AFCS) Forum, FiberZone has been invited to participate with other AFCS members at the OFC/NFOEC “Fiber Optic Switch & Technology Center” pavilion. FiberZone will present and demonstrate the benefits and implications of remotely managing fiber at the physical layer within both Carrier Hotel (Operator & Co-Location) and Data Center Networks.

Fiberzone’s AFM solution provides substantial benefits to Carrier Hotel operators and tenants by remotely automating cross connects at the physical layer. Fiberzone enables an optimally efficient “light’s out” operation by allowing operators and tenants to (1) remotely implement provisioning changes within minutes, (2) detect and isolate network faults via a centrally managed test solution and (3) maintain a real-time log of valuable network assets.

“We are very excited to participate as a presenter at this year’s OFC/NFOEC conference,” said Joe Teixeira, VP of Product Management for FIberZone Networks. “We feel strongly that Carrier Hotel and Data Center network operators can obtain substantial benefits by leveraging AFM solutions, such as the FiberZone AFM 360.”

Released in 2009, FiberZone’s AFM solution has experienced early deployments within numerous carrier-class networks around the world. To learn more, please visit http://www.fiberzone-networks.com.
